Little things like the changes from light to dark freak me out, and I too have to just face up to nerves and tell them to leave me alone or else I know I'm just going to end up sitting in my room forever. It's irritating to say the least, but if you let it in then it will inevitably take over your life. I have to get on a bus today which in itself is a big deal, but it's a 40 minute journey. I'm just telling myself that if I don't go now, I never ever will and that's the last thing I want to happen. I'm not going to let nerves ruin this for me!

Hang in there, trust me I really do know exactly what this is like and I feel your anxiety too.

SianThe Tired Psychonauthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05910948354273318076noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3914969552005146177.post-80887990421764201422010-12-01T12:22:02.068+00:002010-12-01T12:22:02.068+00:00Hi lynn,

'Escape' is not an issue really, especially if one is sitting in say the back row, aisle, nearish an exit.

A few good movies and I bet you'll find you're as comfortable in there as you now are with driving.

A j-j-j-job ... !

Huh, word verification was "reborno" ... how appropriate for your blog :)diverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10058592730402414174noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3914969552005146177.post-6250627601616524802009-07-21T23:21:27.170+01:002009-07-21T23:21:27.170+01:00You did really well there with the film. We can do isolated things but can take me a day or two to recover from something like that as it takes so much effort to overcome the need to run. Let them have it for a while so they understand.Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16062717140344359936noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3914969552005146177.post-4175233087241797372009-07-20T01:20:36.273+01:002009-07-20T01:20:36.273+01:00Hello,

After much unsuccessful treatment I discovered a self-help-therapy taught by Dr Claire Weekes, a physician with a special interest in the anxiety state who spent many years involved in the treatment of agoraphobia in the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia. Her cure is based on two essentials for recovery; firstly a proper explanation of what is wrong with you and secondly, exactly what you should do to get well again. Everything is explained in her book entitled “Peace from Nervous Suffering” which is available from Amazon.com.

I used Dr Weekes’s method and am today, more than 30 years later, still completely cured of agoraphobia. Not only was I able to quickly rid myself of the numerous and seemingly illogical fears that plagued me and trapped me in my home, but I was soon able to travel hundreds and thousands of miles away and then to finally immigrate to another country on the other side of our planet.

My story and experiences were published a number of years ago in a self help book which can now be downloaded for free from the internet at agoraphobiacured.com

Teak heart, agoraphobia is 100% curable.

MariusAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10835826102462609149noreply@blogger.com
